
Annual Conference of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP) | Napoli, 4-6 September 2025
At the forthcoming Annual Conference of the Italian Political Science Association (SISP), that will take place in Naples from 4 to 6 September 2025, Professor Laura Polverari will serve as Chair of the first session of Panel 6.9 “In and against the tide. Subnational governance in times of permacrisis”, on Thursday, 4 September. The session will also feature Professor Andy Mycock (University of Leeds) as Discussant. In the afternoon, she will present, together with researcher Cristina Zerbinati, their co-authored paper “Local government in Italy in populist times: Service delivery and public administration reform in Italian municipalities”.
On Friday, 5 September, Professors Laura Polverari and Maria Stella Righettini (University of Padua) will both take part in the roundtable “Digital Innovation and Training for Public Administrations: The Contribution of Political Science”. The discussion, chaired by Professor Alessandro Natalini (LUMSA University, Rome), will feature the Mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, and distinguished scholars including Professors Francesco Amoretti (University of Salerno), Fabrizio Di Mascio (University of Turin), Andrea Lippi (University of Florence), and Fortunato Musella (University of Naples Federico II).
