Francesca Limena

Francesca Limena is permanent Researcher in Labour Law at the University of Padua, Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies (SPGI), School of Economics and Political Science. She teaches Labour Law course within the Bachelor’s degree programme in Law and Economics at the University of Padua, SPGI Department, Rovigo campus, and Labour Law in Public Employment course within the Master’s degree programme in Government and Public Policy Sciences, in the same Department.

Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Ferrara in the academic year 1995–1996; admitted to the Bar at the Court of Appeal of Venice in 2000, and practised law until 2003. She earned a Ph.D. in “Labour Law” at the University of Padua in the academic year 2001–2002, and from 1 November 2002 to 31 October 2004 held a post-doctoral research fellowship in Labour Law at the same University. She contributed to the Padua editorial board of the journal NGCC; she delivered lecture series within Private Law courses for working students in 2002 and 2003. She taught Labour Law for the Association of Labour Consultants of Padua from 2003 to 2013; she lectured in Labour Law within the Advanced Course “New Instruments for the Flexible Management of Employment Relationships” in May 2005; and presented a paper entitled “Work of Persons with Disabilities: Access to Employment and Regulation of the Employment Relationship” at the Forum on Disability: Prevention and Protection, organised by the G.E. Ghirardi Foundation, the Veneto and Lombardy Regions, and the University of Padua, held in Piazzola sul Brenta (Padua) on 6–10 June 2006.
She also participated in the Study Seminar on the Employment Inclusion of Persons Affected by Bipolar Depression, held at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Padua, on 23 May 2007. She took part in the Forum on Disadvantaged Workers within the Third Italian-Brazilian Seminar on Fundamental Rights, held at the University of Padua, Rovigo Campus, on 25–26 January 2025, with a paper entitled “Reasonable Accommodation among the Instruments for the Protection of Disability.” Since 2010, she has served first as Member and then as Secretary of the Certification Commission established at the Department of Political Science, Law and International Studies of the University of Padua. Since 2025, she has been President of the Committee of Guarantors for the Healthcare Sector of the Veneto Region.
